Mid-Senior Realtime Artist (Unreal Engine)

To work as part of a team of product and visual designers. The role will involve helping in the development of interactive experiences and real-time cinematic creation. A major component of this role is taking CAD files from engineering teams and building them into assets that can be used to create a variety of real-time content. The focus of the content we create is geared towards telling next generation product stories. This person would interact with a variety of talents within the team including, but not limited to product designers, producers, story tellers, animators and VFX artists.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with engineering teams + product designers to turn the latest versions of 3D CAD files into content that can be visualized and interacted with using UE4.

  • Propose new ideas of communicating design ideas in real-time. This can include anything from desktop, to mobile, to AR & VR implementations. We’re looking for ways to push the boundaries of how we communicate and explore new design concepts, externally as well as within the design team.

  • Help develop cinematic content using UE4.

  • Help develop blueprint tools that can be used across the team to streamline our content creation process. We’re interested in building a scalable pipeline to expand the amount of content we can create within our team.

Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in game design/development or arch/design viz

  • Strong understanding of visual scripting in Blueprint with UE4

  • C++ or comparable language a major plus

  • Understanding interaction design
